Summary of TIA-102 Regulatory Compliance Testing Information
This intentional radiator standard provides information for radio equipment used in the Private Land Mobile Services (PLMS). These services employ C4FM or CQPSK modulation, for transmission and reception of voice or data using digital techniques. Furthermore, the digital techniques conform with or without encryption, with a frequency of 1 GHz or less.
Scope of ANSI/TIA Wireless Product RF Device Testing
This standard is used for any application of similar equipment with C4FM or CQPSK modulation. However, this standard does not apply to transceiver equipment employing any or all modulation types or access methods. The applicability of TIA-102 to digital transceiver equipment other than that called out in the scope is deliberately examined.
The object of this method is to standardize parameter titles, definitions, test conditions, and methods of measurement used to ascertain the performance of equipment within the scope of this standard. TIA-102 is also used to compare meaningful results of measurement made by different observers and on different equipment.
TIA 102 CAAA Wireless Telecom Testing Conditions
The equipment is first assembled and adjustments are made with the manufacturer’s instructions for the mode of operation being tested. Equipment is also assembled for alternate modes of operation. That being said, measurements are made for each mode of operation that may be tested.
If equipment is provided with special function subsystems, the system is disabled unless the method of measurement calls for them to be enabled. The standard test voltage is specified by the manufacturer. However, the voltage must not deviate from the stated value by more than 2%.
Expert TIA-102 CAAA Wireless Compliance Testing
In addition to TIA lab testing, Keystone has a full scope of expertise including pre-approved radio modules, licensed exempt radios, and licensed radios. Our team strives to give our customers more time and energy on product development instead of testing. Keystone has a full lab of test equipment which permits us to provide short lead times on scheduling.
