HKCA Certification Testing

All telecommunications equipment (TE) and industrial, scientific and medical equipment (ISM) used or sold in Hong Kong must comply with the HKCA technical standards. Keystone Compliance is certified as a Foreign Certification Body to complete testing to the HKCA EMC and wireless test standards.

The HKCA standards are developed by HKTEC, which stands for Hong Kong Telecommunications equipment Evaluation and Certification. HKAC has three series.

The first series is the HKCA 10XX Series. The series covers radiocommunications equipment and ISM equipment emitting radio frequency energy intentionally. The second series is the HKCA 12XX Series. This series includes global maritime distress and safety system maritime radio equipment. The last series is the HKCA 20XX Series. This series covers wireline customer premises equipment for connections to the public telecommunications networks in Hong Kong.

Under the  HKTEC Scheme, all equipment is classified under one of two schemes. These schemes are the Voluntary Certification Scheme and the Compulsory Certification Scheme. ISM equipment is typically compulsory. The majority to telecommunications equipment is voluntary. However, equipment considered high power radiocommunications are generally subject to licensing control.

As an ISO 17025 accredited emc and wireless test lab, Keystone Compliance can meet nearly every HKCA testing need. Our certification permits manufacturers to receive the appropriate Hong Kong compliance testing while testing the devices in the United States.

We guide customers throughout the certification process. From the creation of the test plan to the issuance of the test report, we are there every step of the way. Contact us to open a dialogue or request a quote to get started.
